Founder of The Impact Badger

Afeez was born in the city of Lagos, Nigeria, he grew up surrounded by stories of grit, hope, and young people with dreams bigger than their circumstances.

Seeing how much potential often left untapped, not because people lacked talent, but because they lacked the right doors to walk through. That stayed with him. It shaped how he looked at the world and planted a seed for what would one day become The Impact Badger.

Afeez’s passion is simple but deep, which is to help young people believe in their dreams, find the tools to chase them, and actually see those dreams come alive. He believes young people should be given opportunities, support, and indoctrinated in the kind of belief that makes them believe in themselves. Professionally, his path has been as exciting as it has been purposeful. He has worked across marketing, technology, and youth focused initiatives. He has helped create work and growth opportunities that supported over 300 young people across 126 locations in West Africa, with a strong focus on helping young women build skills and confidence for the future.

Through his work with the Economic Community of Africa Sixth Region, Afeez has played an active role in building spaces where young people could learn, connect, and feel seen. He supported programs that brought African and Caribbean youth together for learning, cultural exchange, leadership development, and community building. He helped young people see beyond borders and labels, encouraging them to see themselves as part of a shared future. For many of them, it was the first time their voices were truly listened to and their ideas taken seriously.

The Impact Badger started from moments that were deeply personal. Moments of listening to young people who felt ignored, overlooked, or unsure if their dreams mattered at all. Moments of seeing talent go to waste simply because no one took the time to guide, support, or believe. He started The Impact Badger to change that. To create a home for stories that deserved light. To remind young people that their journey has value and their voice has power.

Afeez sees The Impact Badger as not a project but his way of telling the world that the stories of young young people deserve to be heard, celebrated, and supported. It’s his way of turning “what could be” into “what is.”

If you ever meet Afeez, you’ll quickly notice he’s not the loudest voice in the room but his presence is felt. He talks to you like you matter, because to him, you do. And when he says, “Your story is powerful,” you can tell he means every word.
